Touch of the clouds

This vertically oriented abstract expressionist painting is powerfully divided into three distinct horizontal sections using heavy impasto techniques. The upper third is a vibrant expanse of thick, rich red and orange hues, layered thickly to create a textured field that appears to glow with intense warmth, reminiscent of a fiery sky or a radiant sunset. This warm area is delineated by a rough, uneven border that bleeds slightly into the middle section. The central part of the artwork depicts a turbulent body of water, rendered in deep blues and turquoise with a similarly rugged surface created by a palette knife. This section features significant metallic gold and bronze accents that catch the light, simulating the shimmering effect of light reflecting on moving water. The final, bottom section provides a stark contrast with a flat, matte blackground, which is energized by fine, chaotic white lines that cut across the dark space, adding a dynamic, almost scratch-like, energy to the otherwise grounded base.
